Mateusz Śmigasiewicz, is a Polish composer, sound artist and musician. He studied with prof. Zygmunt Krauze at Fryderyk Chopin Music University and in 2015 gained a master degree in composition and multi-media. He participated in master classes with many composers, including Simon Steen-Andersen, Phillippe Manoury, Johannes Kreidler, Mark Andre, Stefan Prins, Marco Stroppa, Ondřej Adámek.

Mateusz works in many areas, composing chamber music, electroacoustic, electronic music and music film and theater (where he collaborates with his father, director Waldemar Śmigasiewicz).

His pieces have been presented in Poland (Musica Privata Festival in Łódź,  Warsaw Autumn Contemporary Music Festival, Polin Music Festival) and abroad (Ukraine, Indonesia, Hungary and Italy).
