Jiye Noh who focuses on making various genres and forms of narrative into her music is a new music composer based in DMV areas. She creates at the intersection of music and story, exploring modes of artistic expression with glamorous sound material and establishing the relationship between sonic and visual art. Her works invite audiences to imagine proposed narratives of ontological experimental works and new notation systems.

Jiye currently studies at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University with Michael Hersch. She graduated summa cum laude with BM in composition from Hanyang University studying under Jared Redmond, Myunghoon Park, Jihyang Kim, and Hanshin Lee. She also studied composition at the Seoul Arts High School, Yewon School, and Academy of Gifted Young Musicians in Seoul Arts Center.

New composition by Jiye was premiered by Jack Quartet, Ensemble Dal Niente, Ensemble Eins, Supia Saxophone Quartet, Ensemble Conscience, and Guri Philharmonic Orchestra, and among other collaborations and individual commissions.
