Mauricio Rodríguez (Mexico, 1976) is a Mexican composer living and working in the USA. He studied composition at the Laboratory of Musical Creation led by Julio Estrada in the National University of Mexico (UNAM). He has a masters in Sonology granted by the Royal Conservatory The Hague, in The Netherlands, where studied with Clarence Barlow (Composition) and Paul Berg (Computer Programming). During 2005-2006 he completed the one-year course at the Centre de Creation Musicale Iannis Xenakis in Paris, France. Currently he is pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts program in composition at Stanford University with Brian Ferneyhough as advisor.
