The following text twill provide you general information about using Babelscores® online services and how to use our website in an optimal manner.

 

Searching

 

On Babelscores® you can explore our catalogue using parametrical research. Either, by Work characteristics or, by Composers information.

Serching is accesible in Homepage (simplified menu) or with our Advanced parameters menu in the Catalogue page.

 


Simplified parametrical search

Musical and technical characteristics of the piece (keywords,

year of composition, categories, region of composition).

Composer information (country of birth, country of work, date of birth).

Information can be provided in any combination of parameters. Babelscores® searching system will give you the possible answers to your request considering the information on the database.

 

In order to have a direct and easy research of musical works we have created the Categories Menu. Using this tool the browser can propose pieces by instrumentation, number of instruments or new technologies usage or refers to more common formats: Chamber group String quartet, String Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra, Opera,....

The Categories menu in combination with Keywords is recommended in order to explore our catalogue efficiently.

 

Keywords, you can use words refering to a musical work such as Title, Instrumentation, Performers, Supporting institutions, etc.

 

When searching by composer you can also type the first letter of the composers Last Name. Babelscores® will display a  list associated with the information you're providing.

 

 

 

Editorial

Periodically Babelscores® invites recognized figures of contemporary music scene (composers, musicians, conductors, musicologists) to write an Editorial Text presenting important subjects related  to the site.

 

The Discover Button

This button sends you to a weekly selection of pieces of our catalogue. The goal is to promote new composers in an balanced way helping users to know new high quality pieces and artists.

 

The Listen Button

This button leads to a player with an audio selection of ten pieces chosen within our catalogue.

 

 

Submit Your Work

Any composer of any country in the world who wants to be part of Babelscores® project should propose himself through The Babelscores® Reading Pannel submitting his personal information and work samples. The Babelscores® Reading Pannel is renewed periodically, it verifies the application and evaluates the interested composer materials based on the professional realization of works and music.

After the admission, Babelscores® will contact the composer explaining how to continue the inscription process.

 

 

Purchase

Babelscores® payments are made safely by the Paypal system using your credit card or through a Paypal acount. If you do not have a Paypal account you can pay directly using your credit card (the Paylpal window gives you this option on the left of the screen). You can also create a Paypal account (it is really easy and free) and pay directly through the Paypal system without using a credit card.

You should create a profile to be able to purchase on Babelscores®, this profile must be activated through a valid email address.
If you want to buy a product, please click on Add to cart on the piece description page. Select as many scores as you wish.
To finish your purchase follow the Check Out icon, and follow all the instructions.

Rentals

Public Execution materials can be rented through Babelscores®.
If you represent an Institution or Ensemble and you are planning to play a Babelscores® catalog piece please follow the Rental materials link(public execution) on the work description page.
Enter your name, your email, the title of the piece materials you want to rent, the composer name and well-detailed information about the concert you are planning to realize.
