BabelScores® looks into and selects the works of the most creative, original and innovative composers of the past few decades offering a wide catalogue and setting up a powerful circulation platform without any restrictions and especially addressed to instrumentalists, ensembles, orchestras, composers, musicologists, conservatories, universities and festivals throughout the world.

BabelScores is not merely a website where to buy, download rent or sell scores. It has been conceived as a meeting-point for all actors in the area of contemporary music who will thus be able to pursue their desires and needs in an easy and user-friendly way by means of personalized search engines. With BabelScores you will be able to discover and enjoy the best contemporary music worldwide and be part of an extensive and advantageous network of professionals in this area.

How our system works
Our policy is to foster a wide-ranging, comprehensive vision of music without a prevailing aesthetics.

. Composers who present their work in our site receive a major proportion of the benefits generated by it and they place their pieces with us in a non exclusive manner.
It is absolutely free to become part of BabelScores Catalogue and the only restriction is that both the material and the respective rights must belong wholly to the composer/editor that sumbits the work. The copyright of works always remains in composers/editors hands .
BabelScores is a tool for promotion, circulation and distribution.
This distribution is done by means of the Web without geographical restrictions, at very reasonable prices so as to discourage piracy and always protecting the rights of the composers who join the project.
The pieces and the material of our catalog are completely accessible on screen through subscrition service. Accessing the material is also possible though buying digital files in pdf format. This is generally cheaper, saves time and facilitates the process of diffusing the music.
Languages
BabelScores® presents its interface in three languages: English, French and Spanish. However, given the large amount of information being received and stored in our site, BabelScores® cannot at present handle the translation of all the material sent by composers and members of its cultural network. Therefore we strongly encourage composers to send their material (biography, note on the piece, etc.) in all three languages used in our interface. Should this not be possible, material should be submitted in two or at the very least, one, of the prescribed languages. We recommend that English be given priority.
Instrumentation information and search is available in english only.
BabelScores® will endeavor to offer inasmuch as possible volunteer translations by members of its cultural network. However we cannot ensure this to happen in the short term. BabelScores® does offer a paid guaranteed translation service to composers who may deem it necessary
