Anastasios Savvopoulos (b.1980) is a Greek composer and performer residing in Berlin. His musical training took place in London under the guidance of jazz and improvisation mentors, earning a Masters degree. He is leading various ensembles for improvised music, and contemporary jazz, and has several CD releases on european record labels. Himself a self taught composer, is interested in the temporal forms of experience and the complexity of auditory phenomena that impact subjective perception and memory. Encounters with the theater of Artaud and his radical emancipatory project of the body through ritual, gesture and speech, Deleuze's  concepts of deterritorialization, multiplicities, difference and repetition, as well as Bergson's duration and intuition form the conceptual body of his theoretical and practical direction.
