Gabriel Dufour-Laperriere lives and works in Montreal, Canada. He recently completed a doctoral program with professor Denys Bouliane at McGill’s Schulich School of Music. His research focuses on the kinetic aspects of music. He’s been rewarded three times by the Canadian foundation SOCAN and won the first price absolute in the electroacoustic section of “Citta di Udine” for its piece Plier-Déplier. He is a recipient of the Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship, the winner of the 2019 Composition prize « Prix d’Europe » and will participate next year in ECM+’s canadian tour « Génération 2020 ».
