Marcela Andrea Leon Garcia (1988) was born in Colombia. She established the "Asociación de Procesos Creativos" on June 2011 as a diffusion space and for the assessment between performers and composers.

Marcela studied musical composition with Juan Antonio Cuellar and Guillermo Gaviria at the Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogota and cello at Tolima Conservatory. She is currently working with the research and publication area at Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra.

Leon's works have been performed by prominent ensembles and soloists including "Cuarteto Manolov", "Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad del Tolima", percussionist Eduardo Caicedo, oboist Felipe Mora, clarinetist Wilmar Valderrama, and cellist Diego García. She works with acoustic ensembles, overlapping melodies where sometimes Colombian rhythms appear, and the musical and body gestures become the main factor of each piece.
