As a contemporary composer interested in instrumentalvocal, and electroacoustic music, Przemysław Scheller explores the nature of sound. He is developing various dimensions of time and space, searching for the bond between past and present.

In this journey, he is much inspired by Gregorian chants, early polyphony as well as spectralism.

In 2018 he obtained Ph. D. in arts promoted by Jarosław Mamczarski. He graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice in the composition classes of Aleksander Lasoń and Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Lyon in the class of Philippe Hurel and Michele Tadini receiving a master in arts diploma with honours. He works as an assistant professor focused on electroacoustic composition subjects in the University of Silesia and in the Academy of Music in Katowice.

He won numerous prizes on international and national composition competitions and scholarships of Ensemble musikFabrik, Tempo Reale and Young Poland Programme. Przemysław Scheller wrote for New Music Orchestra, Katowice City’s Singers Ensemble Camerata Silesia, Polish Radio Choir and AUKSO Chamber Orchestra. He received several times award from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for exceptional artistic achievements.

His main area of interest is electroacoustic and chamber music. He explores different artistic ideas – usage of non-trivial instrumentation, topophony or interactive music
