The piece is based on the musical phrase as a container and on the research for the formal unity from fragments. The sounds – generated or recorded – are crumbled and recombined through Markov’s chains: every couple of numbers contains an index and a number associated with a specific transformation. Every audio-file is read in several ways, it is fragmented into segments, stretched and layered. The generated material is put in relation and finally chosen to derive music lines. Each movement is characterized by two main ‘lines’ (‘main foreground’ – ‘main background’). In order to represent the contrasts which lead to unity, the emphasis is also put on the dialectics ‘rationality – intuition’ and ‘rule – derogation’, to strive the formal cohesion and expressive strength too.
