The work uses a flexible instrumentation (4 to 10 instruments - 6 in this version) as well as specific instruments (Michelsonne two octaves models). It was composed for ensemble Staccatoy (Paris).

The fragility of the Michelsonne instruments and the specificities of their modes of playing are key elements of the piece. For example, the opening/closing of the 'keyboard drawer' result in spectacular glissandi-like effects. The percussive uses of the toy pianos themselves (wood, keys) allow exploring various forms of resonances (made or enhanced by the bells). Guero-effects (slides on non-pressed keys - hardly controllable on these instruments) result in random sounds made by accidentally depressed key(s). These later create a semi-random 'resonant' background throughout the work which changes according to tempo, dynamic and energy. The woks also uses spatialisation: 2 groups of instrument (each one with a soloist) are positioned face to face, in semi-circles
