The piece is inspired by the post-modern minimalistic artwork “Ring.” The simplicity and clearness of the artwork is well informed by the repetitive gestures in the piece. The music initiates with pitch F/C at the piano and harp parts while diatonic sound is assured by the emphasis of open 5th in different registers. Soon, more pitches are gradually inserted, contributing to the contrasted chromatic effects. The central section provides substantial contrasts in terms of dynamic, gestures and pitch organization. At the beginning pitch C is exclusively emphasized in different registral parameters, and again different pitches are added during the course of the section until reaching its second climax before leading to the last section that reiterates the gesture in the first section, however, octatonic and chromatic elements are the central materials of this section. The ostinato figures juxtapose with the countermelodies at the upper and lower registers of the piano. The dynamic alignment of the thin circular line with the thick yellow circle in the artwork is reflected by the pitch relationship between the piano and the harp, in which ostinato materials are constantly undergo transformation.
