Originally, Playground, Puzzle III was written for an ensemble of eight musicians, and specifically for Ensemble Dal Niente’s residency at Harvard University. It was premiered on May 15th, 2015 by Dal Niente as part of the HGNM concert series. Later on, the last 3.5 minutes of solo piano was requested to be played as a stand-alone version, and therefore, I made this special version of the piece for piano solo in 2017.
