I think the most representative instrument of the 20th century is the electric guitar (classical instruments were invented at a time when electricity did not even exist!).
But the golden age of the electric guitar (the 1950s-70s) has also passed and this instrument can now be considered in a historical perspective and fight on equal terms against the oldest heroes!
