Notes on this piece In the 90s of the 20th century, I was writing a series of street music pieces based on improvisations on the keyboard. These very spontaneous gimmicks are recorded by the computer and then edited more or less excessively on the screen. I work in direct and constant feedback with the sound, perhaps similar to a painter at his canvas: the picture is created through interaction between picture and painter: one stroke creates the next.
Street Music V was created in 1996 at the request of the French percussionist Thierry Miroglio, using an asymmetrical scale with detunings, a kind of intuitive microtonality.
