The basic material for this piece is the translation of two lines of text from two national songs (France and Israel) to a morse code. The text lines have a similar violent meaning - blood that irrigate the land, (e.g. “qu’un sang impur abreuve nos sillons” (La Marseillaise française)). The piece is divided into two sections which correspond to each text, treated differently.
