Notes on this piece "Ojibbeway" is a piece written for Italian Trio: Andrea Biagini, Cesare Chiacciaretta, Fausto Bongelli. After visiting a few museums of Indians in USA, my attention grab the collections of the paintings of George Catlin - XXth century painter from Albany, NY, who was painting indians daily life. The title of the piece is inspired one of the painting depicting the warrior from the Ojibbeway tribe (same as inspired Dvorak to compose his XIX symphony). I wanted to connect with the paintings of Catlin by using repetition, inspiration of pow-wow dances rhythms and circular motives, transformed into my musical language. The piece commissioned and written for the 31st International Krakow Composers Festival. Piece is dedicated to Eva Tumiel Kozak.
