Der blinde Spiegel
String Quartet dedicated to the Pacific Quartet Vienna
This piece was highly inspired by the literary work of the great austrian author Joseph Roth, especially his novel "Der blinde Spiegel" ("the blind mirror"), written in 1925.I took some short text fragments out of the novel and used them as basic material for the structural transformations in the composition - so Joseph roth is always present in the musical material as well as in the emotions I dealt with during the compositional process.
