KYLE, keep your life exciting, is inspired by Sarira, a genetic term of mythical Buddhist relics. It is a bead-like object believed to be found in the remains of highly spiritual monks after cremation. It is commonly believed (in Korea) that when a monk goes through a series of difficulties and suffering, that his pain produces Sarira, representing that he overcame the hardship, which now produced a pearl inside his body.
This mysterious phenomenon (occurrence) creates the hypothetical imagination of the sonic world. The relic
evokes the curiosity of the micro and macro sound gestures in a continuous structure that recreates an image of marbles and rocks, which resembles the formation of Sarira. The process of life's manifold levels of darkness and storms, transformed into a curio of brightness and crispiness is reflected in this piece.
