The Bitterness of Absence Sour

The digital sounds of The Bitterness of Absence Sour were generated in a real-time interactive environment with REplayPLAYer 4.0 software, a generative sound file shredder based on the paradigms of granular synthesis.  Processing was later achieved with SoundMagic Spectral Beta 6’s Audio Unit plug-ins.  The score uses both proportional and graphic notation systems, chance operations, and theatrical elements.  The work is intended to be very intense, virtuosically demanding, and hyperdramatic.
