Unicorn

Unicorn is an opera based on a text which is completely generated by chat-programs.They are simple algorithms programmed to simulate communication between human beings.The bizarre, sometimes surrealistic text pieces and dialogues develop a new and unique poetry, far beyond the classical opera libretto sujets. The title is taken from a part of a dialogue between to such „robots“. „are you a robot?“ „no. i am a unicorn.“This text has neither time or place, nor figures or bodies. This refers also to the music: highly artificial, „digitalized“, including prepared instruments and electronics and a high amount of samples, just as the algorithmically combined text samples the chatbots are using.
