Aurés Moussong
Play all audio recordingsMexican-Hungarian composer, Aurés Moussong studied at the Superior School of Music in Mexico City, earning his Master’s degree in Music Composition at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and the University of the Arts in Berlin through the Erasmus program.
Currently, he is undergoing a post-degree specialization program in Music Composition at the Strasbourg Conservatory in France and will take part in the advanced composition program (CAS) at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts for the upcoming fall, under the guidance of Dieter Ammann.
In 2021, his percussion quartet "Desde el lugar del misterio" won the prestige Ibermusicas composition competition. The following year, he secured the second prize in the composition competition held by the China-CEEC Music Academies with his work for ensemble “Uncertain Journey to the Tai Shan”. Later that same year, he was awarded first prize at the Egidio Carella Composition Competition organized by Fondazione Val Tidone Musica. More recently, his wind quintet "Rhythmic Thoughts" earned him first prize from the Hungarian Composers Association and the Winds of Central Europe.
