Play all audio recordingsCarlo Enrico Sandrini is a composer and a multi-instrumentalist, graduated in Clarinet at the Music Conservatory of Como as well as in Composition at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Music Conservatory of Milan summa cum laude.
Since 2003 he teaches music in both public and private schools.
Active as music arranger, he collaborates with independent labels for the Italian singer-songwriting market. His works are published by “Niegazowana”, “Zeromoneta” and “Lapilla/Ponderosa records” labels.
He writes music for commercials, short films and documentaries.
Some of his works have been played in important contemporary music festivals in Milan and Helsinki.
As clarinet player, his activity ranges from chamber duo to swing octet and he records for both the singer-songwriting market and the Dutch “Brilliant classics” label, with which he publishes the complete works for flute, clarinet and guitar of composer Ferdinand Rebay.
In 2023, together with guitar player Andrea Gallo, he forms the “Duo 1921”, drawing his attention towards the making of a repertoire based on timbral-expressive virtuosity intended to revolutionize the reigning idea of music as passive entertainment based on mere technical virtuosity, transforming the listening phase in a moment of intellectual activity.
