Cara Arndt

Claiming the right to the blank page, queer, native or Hamburg, Cara creates in her atelier in Paris. Her education as a composer (DEMs in instrumental and electronic music, DNSPM with a speciality in music with electronics with Denis Dufour and Jonathan Prager) brings her to conceive complex and abstract temporal structures based on logical organic networks, for a non-linear temporality where the medium fades back to the profit of the meaning and symbolics for an objective performative expression. Her musical and filmic works lead her to a music as an object and “dynamic stills”, and her photographic and plastic works integrate a signifiant temporal path.

Notably during various courses and academies across Europe, Cara followed master classes with Franck Bedrossian, Pierluigi Billone, Philippe Leroux, Edith Canat de Chizy, Philippe Manoury, Annelies Van Parys, Liza Lim, Enno Poppe, Rebecca Saunders, John Rea, Clemens Gadenstätter, Joanna Bailie, Brian Ferneyhough and Lars Petter Hagen.
