2 microphones, 8 loudspeakers, 1 transducer/exciter, 2 computers (one with the main patch, one plugged to the exciter) (complete list and explanations in the score)

Program note :

A musical version of the myth of Pandora. 

Several times, the harp player «opens the box», letting different kind of sound materials popping out, which are then developed. Random is as well included in the piece: sounds are sometimes randomly triggered by the player. All the sounds are coming from the harp itself.

The interest in the myth isn’t only musical. The idea of doing something without considering what could be the consequences of it, is very contemporary. In a lot of domains, small and big Pandora boxes are opened every day, leading our civilization to its collapse. 

My generation will witness it.
