Descripción
Hymnos for Symphony Orchestra and Choir by Salvador Torré: This composition conforms three states or musical forms of the element "Hymn" that can be interpreted as independent pieces or as a triptych or Symphony in three movements dedicated to the music. The first is a discreet mass spatialized where the listener is immersed in a vault of colors from where the voices, or the angels emerges. The second state is a Collage-Fresco in which each soloist from each group of the orchestra performs a concert movement in which the conjunction of these "soli" makes another massive macro-structure in which the listener can wander between the interstices of all those musics gathered, homage or hymn to classical music of all times, which in each interpretation will be different, we listen to fragments of music known (or unknown) mixed at random giving us a feeling of a kind of "déjà Vu ". The third is a hymned state of a more traditional character, it is a March, in this case dedicated to music, because it is finally where we left and where we arrived, the text is by Agustín Caballero, the founder of National Conservatory of Music of Mexico when he founded this institution in 1866, this march evokes the "paintings, statues and porches" as musical paintings in space, whether cubists, expressionists or modernists, contrasting with classic canonical contrapuntal procedures of music.
