Konstantin Heuer was born in Leipzig, Germany on September 1st 1989. He studied composition in Rostock, The Hague and Stuttgart, won the Gaudeamus Price 2012 and founded the neophon ensemble, Berlin.

Konstantin's composing is based upon systematic attacks onthe acoustic, phenomenological and sound-generative fundamentals of music, regarding a generalized tonality as it's most complex dimension. Intrigued by creating a microtonal harmonic counterpoint and joining electronic and acoustic instruments in orchestration he aims for evolving the spirit of the European classical tradition into newmaterials. Konstantin is striving for writing pieceswhichare, in spite of all outer commotion, essentially life-affirming, in view of a cosmological notion of music that relates to the philosophy of Augustine, FWJ Schelling and Henning Tegtmeyer.
