PENG Zhiye (彭智烨, n. 1985) es un compositor independiente que vive actualmente en Chongqing, China. Inicialmente estudió arquitectura en la Universidad de Sichuan, luego tomó cursos de posgrado en composición con el Prof. ZOU Xiangping y se graduó en 2014 del Conservatorio de Música de Sichuan. En 2016, estudió brevemente en Europa con Yann Robin y Klaus Lang.
 
Intenta presentar en sus composiciones un amplio espectro de paisajes sonoros y gestos orgánicos, en una trayectoria distinta pero preferiblemente con un movimiento de evolución lenta que indica un escenario biótico. Él ve el ruido sin tono como el océano de gran alcance, del que parten y regresan los tonos y armonías hechos por el hombre. Prefiere eventos sonoros esporádicos con dinámica hábilmente natural, obviando un control excesivamente artificial sobre ellos.
 
Se ha mantenido en colaboración con artistas visuales, su música ha sido presentada en el Museo de Arte de la Universidad de Sichuan, el Museo de Arte A4 de Chengdu, Dimensions Art Centre Chongqing, la Galería de Arte de Auckland Toi o Tāmaki, California Museum of Photography y Barbara & Art Culver Center of the Arts, etc.
