Anastasios Savvopoulos

Anastasios Savvopoulos (b.1980) is a Greek composer and performer residing in Berlin. He is a Masters graduate of Middlesex University in London in jazz guitar where he studied with John Etheridge, Eddie Parker, Phil Robson and Stuart Hall. He has two CD releases of his own compositions with his ensemble for improvised music on KONNEX (2012) and UNIT RECORDS (2015).

He has attended the Stockhausen courses in KŸrten, the MATRIX academy for composers in Freiburg at the SWR experimental studio, as well as the DELIAN academy for new music in Greece.

In 2016 his piece ÒTakwinÓ was awarded a special price, part of the Andre Jolivet competition at the conservatoire of Paris Montreuil, performed by the Alest Ensemble.
