Fernando Manassero (b. 1984, Argentina)
His music explores time perception. Focusing mainly on the paradoxes of musical present time and the role of memory in sequence merge. He works in the lower scales of sound conceiving materials as time particles of different nature.
He works with a broad scope of acoustic and electronic instruments, amplification, compression, and sound objects in pieces for solo, chamber, orchestral and electroacoustic music.

He graduated from National University of Córdoba, Argentina in 2009 where he studied Composition and Music Theory, and at the same time, he studied composition with Juan Carlos Tolosa. 
He attended to Darmstadt Summer Course in 2014 and Impuls Academy Graz in 2015, and Forum Nueva Música 2013 and 2015, where he had the opportunity to discuss his work with Mathias Spahlinger, Pierluigi Billone, Beat Furrer, Mark André, Clemens Gadenstätter, Jorge Sánchez Chiong, Dieter Ammann and Georges Aperghis. He also took part of in reading sessions, workshops and masterclasses with Arditti String quartet, Musik Fabrik, Ensemble Recherche and Suono Mobile initiative für neue musik, among others. 

He was granted with Melos/Gandini Scholarship to study Composition with Gerardo Gandini in 2010, and the Center of Artistic Investigations inter-disciplinary scholarship in 2013. 

His music was programmed in several international festivals and concert halls in Argentina, Chile, England, Austria, Switzerland and Germany among others. 
He was a founding member of the composers collectives conDiT concert platform (2011-15) and CDMCC (Arg) (2007-09). Since 2016 he is part of the board of editors of suono mobile publishing house.

He lives in Buenos Aires working as a freelance composer and at Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, in charge of Musical Creation Workshops III and IV and also as assistant teacher in M.C. Workshops and Compositions Seminars by Gabriel Valverde and Marcos Franciosi.
