Francisco Domínguez (1993) a étudié la composition avec Gabriel Erkoreka à Musikene (Espagne), où il a obtenu sa licence avec mention honorable. Il a ensuite poursuivi ses études avec Beat Furrer et Klaus Lang à la Kunstuniversität Graz (Autriche). Il a également suivi des cours et des classes magistrales avec Helmut Lachenmann, Ramon Lazkano, Héctor Pàrra, Alberto Posadas et Rebecca Saunders, entre autres.

Il a reçu de nombreux prix internationaux prestigieux, dont le premier prix aux concours "Pablo Sorozabal" (XVe édition) et "Francisco Escudero" (VIIe et IXe éditions) et des mentions d'honneur au concours "Franz Schubert" (Xe édition) et au concours de composition pour jeunes compositeurs de la Fondation SGAE (XXVIe édition).

En 2016, il a participé à l'Académie de la Fondation Peter Eötvös, où il a reçu des cours de Peter Eötvös et Toshio Hosokawa. Dans la même année, il a été sélectionné par Peter Eötvös pour participer à la résidence artistique de Gargonza Arts (Allemagne-Italie).

Sa musique a été joué dans de nombreux festivals prestigieux comme BBVA, IMPULS et la Fondation Juan March. Aussi, il a travaillé avec des interprètes et des groupes musicaux renommés tels que Iñaki Alberdi, Michael Faust, Henri Bok, L'Instant Donné, THReNSeMBLe, Schallfeld Ensemble, le Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra et le Bilbao Symphony Orchestra..

En complément de ses activités de composition, il a obtenu une licence en alto à Musikene (Espagne), après avoir étudié avec David Quiggle et Natasha Twitch.
