Commissioned by Ensemble Intercontemporain and IrcamKindled by the dews falling from the heaven, a burning rose cried out her flame. While her most precious perfume ascended to her Eternal Love, a new rose bursts into being from the ashes she left behind. Shining now in an unique redness, her Real Life finally smiles....The piece and its title are inspired by the idea of Love and Sacrifice, Death and Resurrection. It is a metaphor of a spiritual quest for True Love.
