Full Charged Void

The main idea was to use the real and virtual space in musical discourse to modify the gravitational sound source coming from each instrument played at “alla italiana” concert music way of representation. The intention is to provide to listeners an “other” way to understand music form from an expanded open formal perspective.

The electronics was made in Pure Data using HOA library among other features.

Each sound source builds a gravitational point of sound by providing a projected sound to an acoustic space (concert hall). The place where the sound is projected is which I call real space, and the space built with music is which I call virtual space. Using HOA features, I was able to modify each gravitational point inside musical discourse. By affecting each gravitational point, the way music materials can be related is no longer the same. So, music form cannot be understood in the same way.
