Natalia Domínguez Rangel (Bogotá 1981) composer resident in Amsterdam.
Graduated from her Bachelor and Master in composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2010). Winner of the Tera de Marez Oyensprijs (Amsterdam 2009).
Participant in Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (UK), IMPULS academy(Graz, Austria), Young Composers Meeting (Apeldoorn) and Gaudeamus Music
Week (Amsterdam). Her music has been played in several concert halls around Europe. Has taken lessons from Louis Andriessen, Brian Ferneyhough, George Aperghis, Georg Friedrich Haas, Richard Ayres, Julia Wolfe, Theo Loevendie , Wim Henderickx and Fabio Nieder. Has worked with several ensembles such as the Nieuw Ensemble, Asko Schoemberg, 7090 (fonded by: Fonds Podium Kunsten), Adapter ensemble (Berlin). To notate important collaborations with Mediamatic and DNK (Amsterdam), Stedelijk Museum de Lakenhal (Leiden), Nederlands Film festival (Utrecht) and Festival de Teatro Clásico de Almagro (Spain). Active member of composer collective Monoták. To date, one of the curators of the Echokamer concert series organized by Mediamatic. Apart from her classical training she also has experience with film music, music theater, electronics, performance and video.
