Notes sur cette pièce In this piece coexists a research of an expression referring to the sacred, to ancient music, and a reinterpretation of those aspects from electronic music and personal composing techniques. The electronic part uses, among others, bell sounds that refer to the countryside atmosphere where we can hear church bells ringing in the distance. The high-pitched register of the bassoon refers here to the ancient wood instruments.
The timbre of this instrument is so rich that it permits us to imagine it is made of a superposition of crystal bells. One of this piece's emphasis is the fusion of bassoon and bells sounds through electronics.
The relation between the electronic and the bassoon determine the evolution of the piece. At the beginning a texture with electronic characteristics is developed while the bassoon is subordinate to it. Then, slowly, the bassoon blossoms, the temporality and the piece gesture become instrumental.
