Rondo

Rondo is a short piano work which draws upon the characteristics of a classical rondo.  The rondo principle is condensed and expanded in time, clouding any clearly defined form.  However, the recurring “A” figure purposefully stands out against the other material, acting as a subtle reminder of the basic structure.  The work also explores the use of “ghost tones” through sympathetic vibrations, and the concept of ambiguity transitioning to clarity.
