Matías Ramisch was born in 1983 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied classical piano earning his title as a professor in 2003 at the Conservatory Beethoven, under the supervision of Pia Sebastiani. Then he trained in piano jazz and improvisation with Adrian Iaies. Harmony, counterpoint and composition with Daniel Montes. He has attended seminars for improvisation and composition with various musicians from different streams: Marcelo Toledo, Frank Karlberg, Leo Genovese, Guillermo Romero, Marcelo Arce and others. In 2017 he moved to Lugano, Switzerland, to attend the Master in arts in composition and music theory at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, studing with Nadir Vassena, Giovanni Verrando, Sylviane Sapir Erik Oña, Alberto Barberis, among others. Currently he continues his work as a composer, teacher and performer between Italy and Switzerland.
