Afamia Al-Dayaa was born in Germany.  She first studied piano at the Trossingen University of Music, at the Conservatoire Royal de la Musique Bruxelles and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna before studying composition. She also completed her language arts studies at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She was published as an author by Residenz Verlag, Vienna-Salzburg.

In 2023 she completed her studies in instrumental composition with honors at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under the direction of Karlheinz Essl. She is currently in the process of continuing media composition under the direction of Jorge Sánchez-Chiong. She received inspiration from participating in various international workshops, festivals and lectures and also gave lectures at international symposia. She also has experience as an interpreter of contemporary music.

She has received prizes for compositions in international competitions and her compositions have been premiered at various festivals.
