Enrico Scaccaglia (1989) is an Italian composer. He graduated cum laude and honorable mention at Conservatorio Arrigo Boito in Parma (Italy) after studying with Roberto Sansuini, and at the Malmö Academy of Music (Sweden) under the guidance of Luca Francesconi and Bent Sørensen. Enrico Scaccaglia is experimenting with the narrative structure of music, trying to rebuild a narrative path with the listener. The music material is guided through a dramatic conception, focusing on the continuous transformation. His compositional approach is based on two opposite characteristics: Improvisation and elaboration of systems trying to find an equilibrium between Instinct and Reason. He received commissions from several internationally renowned ensembles and orchestras, such as Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Toscanini, Musica vitae string orchestra, Molinari String Quartet, Gageego! ensemble and SoloDuo among others. He has won various awards, such as "Luciano Berio International Composition Competition", “The Molinari Quartet's Eighth International Competition for Composition”, “International Composition Competition "FSK" Vienna IV Edition (first prize in two different categories), “Città di Barlettà international composition competition” (first prize),  and “4th European Composer Competition” (second prize).
