The symbolism of I Ching is at the origin of Tsin for bassoon. This hexagram represents the sun rising above the landscape, the expansion of clarity, symbolized here by the association of K'ouen, the receptive, the earth and Li, which attaches, the fire.
Tsin was commissioned by my grandson, Timoté, dedicatee of the work, on the occasion of his end- of-cycle examination at the Conservatoire de Saint-Étienne.
