As Close As Breath was written in close collaboration with violinist Jeanne Côté as part of Musicians Auditory Perception (MAP) research. This work is based on the idea of intimate space. It explores sounds within the intimate sonic space of the performer. The title of the piece refers to the sensation of breath felt in close proximity.
Note: This score is formatted on 9.5 by 12.5 inches size paper. However a version on 8.5 by 11 inches size paper is also included in the parts.
