Memorial

Memorial is dedicated, beyond time and wars, to the creators (poets, composers, painters) whose work have been absurdly interrupted between 1914 and 1918. This tribute displays a grave, austere music, of essentially contrapuntal nature: an elegiac song crosses the piece, overlapping with derivations of itself played at various speeds. Memorial is a command of Badischen Staatstheater of Karlsruhe, financed by the foundation Hoepfner.
